Speaking to HR Grapevine, Interact’s Founder and CEO, Nigel Danson, cites stats highlighting that engaged employees are 38% more likely to have above average productivity and are three times more creative than disengaged employees."
To keep employees engaged, Danson recommends that leadership and management must ask employees for their opinion and make them feel listened to, develop a collaborative culture and to build rewards into corporate structure. He adds that having fun can also contribute to engaged employees.
Hender Consulting Executive Consultant Julie Brennan added that employees who are highly engaged in their job were far less likely to be tempted to waste time - and that can come down to leadership.
