1/3 UK workers have a 'work-spouse' relationship

 The average full-time worker in the UK clocks in for 37 hours per week at work; but just how well do we know the person sat across the desk from us?

A recent survey led by business telecommunications provider 4Com recently looked into Britons attitudes towards their co-workers, revealing just how willing the nation is to create meaningful friendships and relationships at work.

While a quarter (25%) of workers admitted to not making lifelong friends with a work colleague, an overwhelming majority (75%) have taken their professional relationships to the next level and developed a lasting friendship with at least one co-worker.

The main reasons for breaking the professional barrier are that it makes the job more enjoyable and it gives employees somebody to rely on if anything goes wrong.
