There has been a lot of focus on the disparities between male and female workplace treatment in recent months. Rightly so.
Allegations of systemic harassment, institutionalised pay disparities and widespread inequity such as gender-specific professional dress codes have dominated news headlines in recent months.
Often, these can feel like such big problems that individuals can’t enact proper change in their own workplace. They’re broadly considered to be issues within the remit of Parliamentary enquiry, regulation, legislation and Boardroom decision-makers – not bosses and workers.
However, everyone can have an impact on how women are perceived and treated in the workplace.
