The most common CV lies and how to bust them

Everyone has to tell a little lie sometimes, but when it comes to getting a job, a staggering 92.5% of Brits admit to sneaking in a cheeky untruth or two.

The research from CV-Library found that nearly three-quarters (71.6%) got the job as a result of their whopper, even though 90.5% of workers think it’s wrong to deceive potential employers.

“Bringing on board someone that can’t do the job is going to be a waste of time for everyone involved,” warns Lee Biggins, Founder and Managing Director of CV-Library. “This means recruitment teams need to become more vigilant when it comes to vetting and assessing potential hires.”
