The top 15 employers for work-life balance in 2018

Striking the right balance between your employees’ work and their personal lives can be the difference between an engaged, healthy and productive workforce, or one that is disengaged, prone to absenteeism and lagging behind your competitors.

And that balance is becoming even more critical. Research from Deloitte has found that if salary is taken out of the equation, Millennials in particular name work-life balance as the most important determining factor when they’re considering job opportunities.

Job search site Indeed analysed over 72million workplace reviews to find out which companies are getting it right, and what you can learn from them.

Some firms made the list because of their family-friendly policies. Nike, for example, offers paid sabbaticals and discounts on fitness programs to boost work/life balance, and American Express is offering employees free 24/7 access to lactation consultants, while covering breast milk shipping costs for mothers traveling on business.
