A nude woman was slapped, scratched and punched by her colleague in a workplace brawl that got out of hand, Rickergate court has heard.
Alexandra Bryan was a dancer at the Rouge nightclub in Carlisle when she fell out with fellow dancer Abbie McEvilly. Their argument came to a head when Bryan kicked McEvilly’s bag into another woman’s face, causing a naked punch-up to break out in the changing room.
McEvilly fought back by pulling the defendant’s hair, and the fighting only ceased when the club manager intervened.
The News and Star reports that Prosecutor John Moran told magistrates that the evidence showed Bryan was the aggressor, but defence lawyer Peter Grogan said there was strong evidence to show his client acted in self-defence.
