Lewis Hamilton slams F1 saying diversity hasn't increased

Lewis Hamilton, the only black Formula One (F1) driver, has slammed the motorsport giant for lacking racial diversity.

“There’s barely any diversity in F1,” he wrote on Instagram. “Still nothing’s changed in 11 years I’ve been here. Kids, people, there’s so many jobs in this sport of which anybody, no matter your ethnicity or background, can make it and fit in.”

The Mercedes driver is F1’s first and only black competitor and is the current driver’s champion.

F1 has not yet responded to the comments.
