Zuckerberg's silence over Cambridge Analytica scandal causes concern

Discontentment is brewing amongst Facebook employees, as they wait to hear from their CEO, Mark Zuckerberg about the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

In an internal meeting on Tuesday, led by Facebook lawyer, Paul Grewal, Zuckerberg was not present. Neither has he or Sheryl Sandberg made a statement on the matter.

However, many employees want to hear an official company response on the accusations that suggest Facebook played a role in the US elections and Russian interference.

The scandal unfolded after a whistle-blower at Cambridge Analytica revealed that data from 50 million Facebook users was harvested for the platform and used to influence the Donald Trump election campaign.
