With many UK employees spending most of their waking hours in the workplace, the potential for social catastrophe is high. Now, there are stats to back this up.
According to CV-Library, nearly half of UK professionals have witnessed an embarrassing moment at work whilst 36.1% have been directly involved in a moment of blush-inducing workplace unease.
But, why do these moments come about? Well, according to the 1,200 worker study, most of these awkward moments happen with colleagues (65.8%) with just over a fifth happening with bosses – mainly the result of miscommunication and unusual or unexpected behaviour.
