Is change management becoming more important?
I think it's always been important but possibly the level of ambiguity, complexity and pace of change has increased and for most organisations the degree of external scrutiny they operate under has increased exponentially. I think there has also been an erosion of the trust relationship between leaders and employees and between business and the wider stakeholder community. This means supporting leaders to articulate a really clear vision and strategy for change that connects to the values and interests of those impacted, then ensuring the organisation can execute that skilfully to deliver on the promise is critical.
