Whole Foods: 'Seeing someone cry at work is becoming normal'

Employees at Amazon-owned Whole Foods have spoken out about the grocery chain’s new system of ‘compliance’ which is ‘crushing morale’.

To make sure workers are meeting new procedures, Whole Foods has introduced scorecards which evaluate everything, from how accurately staff are doing their job to the proper recording of theft.

Some long-term employees have called the new system "punitive", "onerous" and "stress-inducing".

Those that spoke to media said many are terrified of losing their jobs under the new system and spend hours mired in paperwork and not helping customers.
