REVEALED: Top 10 LGBT employers

Britain’s leading charity for LGBT equality has drawn up a list of the top employers for inclusivity in the workplace.

The National Assembly for Wales was named top, after coming in fifth place last year, praised for having a range of policies for lesbian, gay and bisexual staff. They also included measures to improve the workplace for transgender employees.

Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive at Stonewall, explained that it was important to celebrate employers doing a lot for LGBT rights at a time when abuse and discrimination is still rife.

She said: “At a time when LGBT people are subject to profound discrimination and abuse, both in and out of the workplace, our LGBT-inclusive employers are a welcome beacon of hope that a positive future is possible.
