At many times in the career story, an individual is minded to quit their job and start afresh. However, figuring out if the moment is right, or even if it is the correct decision, can be something of a minefield.
However, the ex-Chief Talent Officer at Netflix, Patty McCord, has apparently created an algorithm that determines when it is best to pack it all in and when it’s best to stick the job out.
In her recent book, “Powerful: Building a Culture of Freedom and Responsibility” she recommends that managers use an algorithm to find out if an employee is a good fit at a company. Arguably, employees could use the same algorithm to figure out if the company is a good fit for them.
Speaking to Business Insider, McCord asks managers to figure out “Is this what the person loves to do, that they're extraordinarily good at doing, something we need someone to be great at?”
