How cultural change is helping Kellogg's HR teams

At the end of last year, HR Grapevine spoke to Samantha Thomas Berry, VP, HR for EMEA at Kellogg’s, to learn more about their move to a new head office space to MediaCityUK.

Now, heading into 2018 and the HR team are continuing that journey of delivering cultural change, which has been a key driving force behind the relocation. Berry explains how they’re going to tackle this: “The first is agility, I am leading a team looking at how we enable greater agility within our organisation. If we get this right we can deliver a culture shift through a step change in leadership capability, process simplification and greater clarity to roles and responsibilities.

“Another priority is to further embed a differentiated talent strategy through our functional PDC’s (People Development Committees) who ensure that we have robust succession, workforce and developmental planning in place across all functions. In 2018, we will further accelerate this focus so that we can further develop our talent across the organisation.

“Another priority is to accelerate our gender diversity targets and to make sure we are leveraging diversity as a competitive advantage within the region. This focus includes external hiring, internal development, employee turnover and focused capability building.”
