An Apple store worker who phoned in a bomb hoax to get the day off work is facing jail.
Arjunbir Singh Soin, 21, worked in the Churchill Centre store in Brighton, East Sussex, while he studied. However, the Sun newspaper reported that he told officers that he had fallen behind in his studies, and did not know how to ask for the day off.
He added: "I thought, let's just do this and see what happens. I didn't want to scare [people] and I'm not a terrorist."
He admitted five counts of bomb hoax and communicating false information, and is due to be sentenced next month.
