Vice Media bolster HR in efforts to tackle sexual harassment

Global media giant Vice Media has made root-and-stem changes to its HR operations, both in the UK and globally, after a series of sexual harassment allegations rocked the company.

In November, the gonzo media firm hired its first global Head of HR, Susan Tohyama. Part of her remit will be to work with the UK HR team to improve HR standards.

Vice are also introducing an anonymous round-the-clock hotline for employees to confidentially talk about any workplace issues they wish to anonymously report in the UK.

Furthermore, they have enlisted a third-party provider to run a UK staff survey, so employees feel they can voice their opinions and concerns about company culture amongst other issues.
