McDonald’s UK employees are celebrating after the fast food firm pledged to dole out the biggest pay rise in 10 years.
The rise, which will come into force on January 22, will only benefit workers employed by restaurants directly owned by the company - although they have recomended to franchises that they also increase their rates of pay.
Mirror Online shared a photograph of a pay notice put up by management on Tuesday night showing how the raises will affect each position.
One employee wrote in a Facebook post: "WE WON THIS. Biggest pay rise for 10 years! If 0.001% going on strike can win this imagine what more can do!"
