Rec agency tops minimum wage 'name & shame' list

Today, the government has named and shamed employers who have failed to pay workers minimum wage - with a recruitment and employment agency topping the list.

Although the recruitment industry was not the overall worst offender – retail, hairdressing and hospitality were the most prolific underpayers – Best Connection Group topped the shameful run-through.

The Midlands-based recruiter had failed to pay a staggering £469,273.83 to 2558 workers.

In second place was another recruiter, Qualitycourse Limited who trade as part of Transline Group. The employment agency was previously caught up in the Sports Direct low-pay scandal.
