The lucrative career prospects within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) industries have been highlighted once again in a list determining the highest paying jobs of 2017.
The list, compiled using data from Glassdoor, found that this year, some of the top paid jobs were in STEM. However, according to a recent Barclays study, over 40% of UK jobseekers are lacking the necessary tech knowledge to land all-important roles. What’s more, employers reportedly offer candidates up to £10,000 more if they have skills such as software design, with that figure rising to £30,000 for 3D modelling.
