Showing up late to work
Not being on time is a surefire way to rile your colleagues – it makes it look like you don’t care and that you’re happy for them to pick up the work. If times are getting hard, it’ll also make you the most likely candidate to be first out the door if you’re considered as not pulling your weight.
Throwing sickies
None of us can escape being ill – at some point, whether it’s a cold doing the rounds or burnout, everybody needs a day off. However, if you’re taking time off when you don’t need it, your colleagues are going to be picking up your workload. Furthermore, it’s more obvious than you think.
