Seventy years of devotion, service, and keeping calm and carrying on, is being celebrated today as the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh commemorate their platinum wedding anniversary.

On 20 November 1947, Elizabeth II and Prince Philip married in Westminster Abbey. Now, the couple stand as the first British monarchy to celebrate the 70-year milestone.
