A Sainsbury’s worker has been arrested on suspicion of racial offences after making a Snapchat video in which he made comments about customers of Pakistani descent – BBC reports.
The Sainsbury’s employee, Joshua Dryden, uses a word deemed to be a racial epithet and complains about Pakistani customers wanting items as “cheap as possible”.
Derbyshire Police said a 20-year-old man has been arrested for racial offences under the Public Order Act.
In a statement, Sainsbury’s said it had taken appropriate action. A spokesperson said: “"We have been made aware of this video. It is offensive and unacceptable, to say the very least, and we have taken appropriate action."
