Work-life balance charity, Working Families has revealed the top 10 firms, both large and small, who have earned their place on the list of Top Employers for Working Families. Speaking on the awards, Sarah Jackson OBE, Chief Executive of Working Families, commented: “Congratulations to the wide range of organisations whose flexible, agile workplaces have earnt them a much-coveted place on 2017’s list of Top 30 Employers for Working Families. The annual benchmark provides a clear picture, not just of current practice, but also the evolving way in which organisations think about work life balance and flexible working.
“All the evidence shows that organisations where flexibility is properly integrated into the culture out-perform their peers. Those companies that want to be the best for their people and for productivity should benchmark their progress with us to move forward on their journey.
“But with 11 million working parents in the UK, flexibility has to be a mainstream way of doing business. Employers should be looking to find the flexibility that is inherent in every role, rather than reaching for the tired 9-5 model.”
In order to make it on to the prestigious list, employers must answer in-depth questions related to their flexible working policies. The four sections covered are; integration, policy, consistent practice, and measurement and results.
