Staff at the embattled Student Loans Company are suffering from such low moral that it now ranks as the worst place to work in the public sector – The Times reports.
Disgruntled workers are now taking to Glassdoor and Indeed.co.uk to vent their anger at substandard systems, inadequate training and “seriously below par” management.
Claims include: managers who make their jobs impossible; a workplace that destroys the soul; and team leaders who go out of their way to make things hard for customers.
Workers gave the Glasgow-based company a rating of 2.8 out of 5. Less than a third of staff would recommend working for the company. One finance assessor who works for the firm at Darlington wrote the below.
