Chasing paper: Which industries give the biggest bonuses?

Despite the value of bonuses surging to a record £46.4bn last year, almost a third of UK employees were not paid one.

According to data by the Office of National Statistics, the amount paid out in bonuses increased by 6.5% year-in-year but 30% of staff weren’t rewarded for performance.

A survey, by employment services firm Randstad, found that at the other end of the scale, 10% of respondents opened up with a bonus of £5,000 or more.

And, it is probably of no surprise that employees in certain industries are more likely to get hold of a bonus than others.
