McDonald's employees blast firm for 'multiple failings'

McDonald’s has been accused of serious employee safety failings, “belittling and degrading staff” with some staff claiming they have to borrow money to make ends meet – Independent reports.

The accusations come after staff at two McDonald’s restaurants struck earlier this month over concerns regarding low wages and zero-hour contracts. It was the first ever strike against the company.

However, in this separate dispute, employees are coming forward to highlight perceived safety failings, bullying and underpayment at the global fast-food franchise.

In a survey, by campaign group Organise, which collated employee responses about conditions at the chain, one employee claimed health and safety training was lacking.
