The gender pay gap in the HR sector is still prevalent, with a recent report from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and XpertHR, showing how far the industry has to go. After an analysis of HR manager’s salaries, the study found that the gender pay gap within HR still sits at 10%, with the average female salary at £40,177 compared to £44,646 for men.
Whilst HR’s gender pay gap is less than other sectors in UK businesses, it’s still surprising considering that diversity and equality are supposed to be at the heart of the industry. The table below illustrates the gender pay gap across other UK sectors;
