Being in close proximity of our co-workers can be great, it fosters better communication, relationships and well, not everyone is lucky enough to have their own office.
However, one aspect that appears to be distracting office workers isn’t the constant murmur of gossip and temptation to chat – it’s bad hygiene.
According to a survey by Showerstoyou.co.uk, 56% of office workers believe poor personal hygiene in the workplace affects their concentration levels.
Bad body odour was the biggest hygiene issue that employees face in the workplace, with 70% citing it, followed by bad breath (64%) and dirty or stained work clothes (61%). In fact, almost half (48%) of office workers believe consistently maintained hygiene and appearance standards in the workplace will improve their job satisfaction.
