The British summertime is usually predictable – sub-standard, wet and grey – so to help staff through it some firms consider offering perks to keep morale high.
However, although 82% of workers feel their workplace should consider a more relaxed dress code over the summer months, only 42.4% are allowed to adapt their wardrobe over the summer, according to a recent CV-Library survey.
Lee Biggins, Founder and Managing Director at CV-Library, commented that perks could be one way to motivate a workforce that traditionally needs a boost over the, supposedly, sunny season.
He said: “Britain’s summer months can be a real struggle whatever level you’re working at. It’s hot one minute, raining the next, and all staff really want to be doing is jetting off somewhere exotic.
