In an email that was intended for an exclusive few, BBC Station Editor, David Robey, has publicly shamed Vanessa Feltz’s after he accidently sent the email to every employee at the BBC.
Robey was supposed to be critiquing Feltz in her annual review, but it came across as a public critique on her personality after the email was sent to the entire BBC staff, instead of the new television trailer he thought he was sending.
Robey criticised both her character and her BBC show, saying it was “lacking personality” and that it was a “constant battle” for her to keep up with the pace. Upon realising his mistake, Robey swiftly sent a follow-up email urging people to delete the email without reading. However, the email was quickly leaked to the wider public.
The email read: “When we launched Vanessa's breakfast programme, we were aware we would have to find the right balance between her skills and the much tighter format.
