'Boyfriend with no benefits': Ex-NBC worker alleges toxic workplace

A former US TV network employee claims her boss was misogynistic and bragged about her looks before sacking her; stating that if he didn’t, his girlfriend would dump him – Daily Mail reports.

Stephanie Belanger alleges that John Carleo, her supervisor at NBC, the US TV network who broadcast shows such as America’s Got Talent, Law & Order and Saturday Night Live, called her a “w****”, and bragged about having the “hottest coordinator in the office”.

In a lawsuit raised by Belanger, in retaliation to her employment termination, she claims that Carleo told her that he was firing her from her coordinator role as he risked losing his romantic partner.

Previously, Belanger’s suit alleges Carleo referred to his relationship with his employee as like that of a “boyfriend with no benefits.”
