Women told appearance 'too distracting' for male peers

Remember the coverage of Nicola Sturgeon’s and Theresa May's Brexit meeting, with the ‘who won legs-it?’  headline?

Whilst it faced heavy backlash, even in 2017, women’s appearances still make headlines.

However, as workplaces move on from tired ideals about gender, a new study has found that one third of British women have been pulled up on their appearance at work for being ‘a distraction’ to their male colleagues.

The research carried out by www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk found that one in four British women have been warned about their appearance in the workplace, in comparison to just one in nine men.
