The value of a good night’s sleep cannot be underestimated, with its ability to build up our immunity to illness, lift our moods and enable clearer thinking.
Sleep has been heavily researched recently; pop psychology dishing out recommendations to concoct the best sleeping conditions, and employers are also getting onboard, introducing nap pods or equipping employees with the latest tech devices so they can manage their sleep.
Despite our understanding of the wonders of slumber, 65% of workers saying tiredness has become a bigger workplace problem over the past five years.
According to research from Willis Towers Watson (WTW), almost two-thirds (66%) of UK workers claim tiredness negatively impacts on productivity at work – yet over a third (36%) say they’re struggling to get a good night’s sleep because of their job.
