Male employee reprimanded for wearing makeup at work

The iconic Pride parade has just passed, the UK is celebrating one of the first Muslim same-sex marriages in the country and businesses are continuing to make positive strides to improve their diversity and inclusion policies.

However, whilst these events show that in some ways, we have surpassed historic stereotypes, clearly, we still have a way to go before the door is slammed shut on the ugly face of discrimination.

One male employee has been reprimanded by his employer – for wearing makeup at work.

Managers at a Portsmouth branch of Currys PC World reprimanded shop worker, Scott Laplanche for wearing makeup at work and asking him to remove it.
