Paul Macey is Property Finance Director at British Land. He is also Head of the commercial property company’s Pride campaign - which is tied in with the UK’s wider celebration of LGBT+ rights and a nationwide commemoration of the half a century since homosexuality was legalised in the UK.
Whilst most major cities will be adorned with rainbow paraphernalia as Pride organisers hope to promote their message of “hope, acceptance, activism and love” it often falls on business leaders to organise widescale support throughout the year
Speaking exclusively to Executive Grapevine, Macey explains that on today’s business landscape it’s imperative that business leaders and people managers not only support, but lead, inclusivity initiatives.
He said: “These days for all businesses, what’s really important is to innovate, and one of the ways you can innovate is by hiring people with different mindsets.
