Six million Brits - more than the entire population of Scotland – are currently suffering from sleepless nights.
Who’s to blame? Well, their employers apparently. That is, according to research by Rungway, who found that two-fifths (40%) of UK workers have suffered from high workloads or burn out over the past year, causing many to lose much-needed shut-eye.
However, one start-up is looking to help their employees get enough rest and exercise, both fundamental to productivity and wellbeing, by incentivising it.
The online mattress-maker Casper – already a specialist in the value of a good night’s sleep – has introduced a policy, where employees receive cash rewards for practicing a healthy lifestyle.
