Barclays HRD reveals secret to MBE success

Lynne Atkin, HR Director and Head of Employee Relations at Barclays and now MBE, has enjoyed a successful career.

A HR Director at npower, then Head of HR at Aviva and latterly several positions within banking giant Barclays. It would be easy to for her to claim all the accolades for herself.

However, Atkins, speaking exclusively to HR Grapevine, explained that her award for services to Human Resources in Banking has re-affirmed her pride in her HR team.

She said: “I feel so proud of the team and that our work has been recognised in this way. To be acknowledged for having a long-term sustainable impact on the communities Barclays operates in and to be a stand out example to others is extremely rewarding.
