Ruff day? 'Bring your dog to work day' has staff smiling

Today marks ‘Bring Your Dog To Work Day’, where workplaces can bring in their four-legged, waggly tailed friends, and raise funds for charities dedicated to making a difference to the welfare of dogs.

Not only will workplaces be supporting a great cause by letting their mutts take centre stage, but there are also significant wellbeing benefits behind pooches in the office.

Town and Country Pet Foods have a resident office dog, Molly, who is so much more than a furry friend. Speaking to HR Grapevine, Peter Parkinson, their Marketing Director explains: “We may be biased, but we believe an office dog offers a boost to many businesses. Not only can a dog improve productivity, but it can also reduce stress.

“Molly is always on hand to offer much-needed and much-welcomed respite when things get busy and the benefits a business can reap from having a dog in the office are countless.
