This CEO sends 7,400 birthday cards to staff every year

Sheldon Yellen, CEO of BELFOR Holdings, has made headlines for his 7,400 birthday card-a year habit – Business Insider reports.

Yellen, Chief Executive of the disaster and relief property restoration company, ensures that he writes a birthday card to every employee of the company every single year.

The head of the firm believes that it gets his workforce talking and has improved communication at the firm - writing his first card to an employee in 1985.

Speaking to Business Insider, he said: “It got people talking, we started to communicate more, and I like to think it helped me earn respect within the company."
