An Argos delivery driver who proposed a cost-saving idea that would save the company £1.5million has been rewarded - with a £10 gift voucher.
Following Sainsbury’s takeover of Argos, Chairman Mike Coupe called on staff for cost-saving suggestions.
Driver, Mark Heslehurst, said that he emailed several ideas, including one which stated that delivery drivers should only use Sainsbury’s petrol stations to refuel.
His idea was commended by the Chairman and five months later, the policy was introduced.
