What separates a good leader from a great one?

Employee-ranking site Glassdoor has taken it upon themselves to uncover the greatest leaders in UK businesses today. And whilst measuring profits and turnover is all well and good when it comes to annual reports, a truly great boss will be recognised by their workforce.

Glassdoor’s study ranked the 50 greatest CEOs in the United Kingdom, according to employee feedback between 5/2/2016 -  5/1/2017. In order to be considered eligible for the list, the CEO must have a minimum number of 30 reviews posted on the site. This includes “at least 30 CEO approval ratings…from UK-based employees; at least 1,000 employees at the end of the eligibility timeframe,” the methodology report reads.

Speaking to City AM, Glassdoor's co-Founder Robert Hohman, commented on the report, saying that the rankings "truly reflect employee opinion" on how well the CEO performs.
