'Absolutely awful' insults to candidate reminds HR how NOT to manage talent

HR often has their work cut out: managing their incumbent workforce; overseeing the exit process of leaving employees; and making sure that onboarding and application procedures are supervised.

Administering to the needs of individuals with differing wants requires watertight processes and top-notch HR staff - but, sometimes, even the most earnest professionals can end up red-faced.

This is what happened to the Resourcing department at Kent-based Tecomak Environmental Services when they inadvertently sent rude and dismissive comments to an applicant.

Reported by the BBC, the company replied to jobseeker Anna Jacobs suggesting that she was “worth an interview if only for a laugh”.
