Asos axes scandal-ridden recruiter

The recruitment agency at the centre of the Sports Direct working conditions and minimum wage scandal has lost its contract to recruit and supply temporary workers for Asos – The Guardian reports.

Transline, who were recently axed as an Amazon staffing supplier, now faces insolvency.

XPO Logistics, who operate Asos’ warehouses, confirmed that it had terminated its agreement with Transline.

An XPO spokesperson said: “Following the filing by Transline of a notice of intention to appoint an administrator, we decided in conjunction with our customer to terminate the contract with Transline and appoint PMP Recruitment.”
