17% of employees are seriously stressed at work

Take a deep breath and unclench your fists - stress awareness month is upon us.

In the spirit of all things anxiety-ridden, Lee Hecht Harrison | Penna have found almost a fifth (17%) of UK employees report feeling significant levels of stress on a day-to-day basis.

Furthermore, 20% of employees regularly take home work in the evenings and almost half 48% check work emails in the evening or at weekends.

Nick Goldberg, CEO of UK and Ireland at Lee Hecht Harrison |Penna, commented on the findings: “For many of us, stress has become an accepted feature of our daily working lives. Employees up and down the UK need to seriously consider the role stress may be playing in their work life and what measures they can take to address it.
