Distractions in the office are plentiful – from tea rounds to unscheduled meetings, it can be difficult for some employees to focus.
But it seems as if there is one distraction that is a major downfall for Gen Y and baby boomers – online shopping.
A recent report from Finder.com.au found that 36% of employees shop online in the office and that online shopping costs businesses $436million (£256million) each week in wages.
The survey, reported by The Daily Mail, also highlighted that half of those asked admitted to shopping for up to two hours at work a day, with a staggering eight per cent claiming to shop for five hours a day.
