Office hugging trend not everyone's cup of tea, report finds

Hugs, unlike cups of tea, might not solve everything, according to The Wall Street Journal’s report on office hugging.

Last year, research from staffing firm, The Creative Group found that hugging amongst colleagues was becoming more popular.

More than half of advertising and marketing executives said that this practise is more common, than it was five years ago.

And though CEO of software company Dovico and self-professed hugger, Yves Doucet, said “huggers say their touchy-feely approach breeds teamwork, trust and better business results”, WSJ reporter Feintzeig writes that “huggees don’t always agree.”
