10 most frustrating aspects of job-hunting - according to UK candidates

Searching for a new job can be a tedious process for candidates; they often don’t get told why they didn't make the cut or they struggle to find a role that suits.

That’s according to research from CV-Library, which found that nearly two-thirds (62.7%) of UK workers dislike looking for a new job, with this figure rising to 69.9% amongst 18-24 year olds.

The study asked the opinions of 1,200 of British workers about their biggest frustrations when it comes to looking for work, finding that the top bugbear for 56.9% of respondents was a lack of response from recruiters.

Recently HR Grapevine spoke to Vicki Salemi, a Career Expert for Monster, about the issue of ‘rude recruiters’. She advises those in hiring to: “Be respectful of [candidates] time, don’t play games and treat them professionally -which means things like not responding to messages on their phone while the candidate is speaking.
