Transline Group, the much-maligned recruitment firm that supplies factory workers to the hotbed-of-controversy that is Sports Directs’ warehouse in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, is to appear before MPs today.
They are facing the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee as part of an overall investigation into workers’ rights; specifically regarding the pros of agency work and restrictions to their terms and conditions.
This is the second time they have faced MPs, and their Finance Director, Jennifer Hardy, will be the individual in the firing line again.
One can only assume that they are hoping it will go better than the first time, when they were accused of misleading MPs, a claim they deny, and led to Sports Direct being prompted to axe them.
