My dream job turned into a nightmare: Tesla employee sues

A Tesla factory employee is suing the firm, saying they turned his dream job into a nightmare.

DeWitt Lambert initially described his appointment at Tesla in June 2015 as the pursuit of “the land of opportunity”. However, this land, he claims, was fraught with physical, sexual and racial harassment instead of opportunity.

Speaking to The Mercury News, he said: “This was my dream job and it turned into a nightmare.”

He said the company did not do enough when a colleague stole his phone and filmed a one-minute video filled with racism and violent threats. Tesla told The Mercury News that the video was “disappointing and contrary to our values”, and that numerous members of staff had been dismissed as a result.
