What HR challenges have you faced in the past few months at Revolution Bars Group?
Our business is in a rapidly expanding market with increased competition. Cost pressures also continue to impact all aspects of the sector. More competition, costs pressures and a growth plan, means we need quality managers leading our existing bars as well as a strong talent pipeline to open new bars. Our challenge is to make sure we have the best methods to recruit, develop, engage and retain our teams. That’s a massive area, so to focus on one topic I would choose development.
Our workforce is primarily Millennials and we have adapted our training and approach to help meet their expectations; being clear about career paths and providing a variety of ways to support quick development, using improved technology to support learning and making sure that we align all our training and internal messages to our company purpose.
